Armi Millare on leaving UDD: 'We had a good run'
Armi Millare penned a heartfelt message for UDD fans shortly after the OPM band announced her departure on Sunday.
On Instagram, the vocalist-keyboardist confirmed that she left Terno Recordings, its mother company MTME, and consequently, her band UDD.
"UDD has remained my longest relationship—one that I've tried to keep sacred and tried to preserve with the principles I have upheld from the moment I learned that I had a dream: that one day I would be in that one band I would dedicate my life to," Armi said.
"I see that there was more progress than perfection during our time together and I'm willing to let it end where it has. We had a good run," she added.
Armi also said that rather than an ending, she hopes everyone sees her departure as a new beginning for her and her bandmates Carlos Tañada, Ean Mayor, and Paul Yap.
She wished the group, their crew, and cohorts the best as they all embark on another chapter in their lives.
"There is nothing more I fear than the unknown, but I would rather be fighting my fears than letting it hold me down while I seek peace like I always have," she said.
UDD recorded four albums since it formed in 2004. Some of its most popular songs include "Tadhana," "Oo," and "Indak."
This year, UDD performed "Paagi," the ending song for "Trese" on Netflix.
