'House of Gucci' to hit Philippine cinemas on January 19

Anticipated foreign titles are helping usher back the cinema experience in the Philippines.

After the likes of James Bond and Spencer, in comes the "House of Gucci" to hit Philippine theaters on January 19.

Headlined by Lady Gaga and Adam Driver, the much-talked about fashion powerhouse movie explores three decades in the tangled history of the Italian family behind the luxury brand.

Adam Driver will play Maurizio Gucci while Lady Gaga will take on Patrizia Reggiani. With them are Al Pacino, to play Aldo Gucci, Jeremy Irons as Rodolfo Gucci and Jared Leto as Paolo Gucci. The movie is directed by none other than Ridley Scott.

Apart from the family drama, "House of Gucci" also looks at how the fashion industry went from privately owned fashion labels to conglomerate control.

"This movie is a genuinely good time," Lady Gaga said in a statement. "Every second is entertaining. Part of Ridley's magic is that, with all his artistic ways, ultimately he wants the audience to enjoy themselves." — LA, GMA News
