'Fullmetal Alchemist' is getting a mobile game in 2022
A "Fullmetal Alchemist" game is headed to mobile devices next year!
Game company Square Enix unveiled a promotional teaser on Friday, showing Edward and Alphonse Elric in all their glory, along with other well-loved characters like Winry Rockbell and Roy Mustang.
They were spotted in iconic places featured in the "Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood" anime, seemingly staying true to specific episodes.
The teaser even included the swoon-worthy scene where Edward rips off his trademark red cape during a battle in Liore!
According to Anime News Network, the game will be free-to-play with optional in-game purchases, and will tell the story of the "Fullmetal Alchemist" series with "full voice-acting and scenes featuring 3DCG and new animation."
"Fullmetal Alchemist," the original manga by Hiromu Arakawa, just celebrated its 20th anniversary in July.
It follows two brothers, Edward and Alphonse, as they make the journey to restore their original bodies after they committed the alchemy taboo: human transmutation.
The manga was serialized in Monthly Shonen Gangan from July 12, 2001 until June 11, 2010, and was adapted into an anime in 2003, followed by a reboot in 2009. —JCB, GMA News
