Carmina Villaroel and Zoren Legaspi reveal the real mistress in their relationship, and it's not what you think
Carmina Villaroel and Zoren Legaspi are a picture of a happy marriage but during the "Stories From the Heart: The End Of Us" press conference on Wednesday, the couple revealed having a third party in their marriage: Zoren's hobby of riding motorcycles and bikes.
"'Yun 'yung third party namin: bisikleta at motor (That's our third party: bikes and motorcycles)," Zoren said.
Carmina added, "Ayoko talaga nagmomotor dahil delikado...Wala akong kalaban-laban sa mistress. Mahal niya eh (I don't want him to ride motorcycles because it's dangerous...I can't win against the mistress. He loves it)."
Zoren explained that while Carmina doesn't forbid him from riding, he knew it always made her nervous.
"Si Mina, hindi siya masaya kasi nerbyosa. Isang tingin sa 'kin 'pag naka motorcycle gear, I think it's mental torture 'pag nagmo-motor ako...Wala eh mahilig ako magmotor eh," Zoren added.
[Mina isn't happy because she's nervous about it. Just one look at me in motorcycle gear, I think it's mental torture for her when I ride the motorcycle...But I can't, I like riding it.]
Meanwhile, Carmina said it wasn't because she didn't trust Zoren, but rather she didn't trust vehicles on the road with him.
"I'm trying my best not to live in fear. Nagdadasal na lang ako," she said. "I don't want to stop him. That's his happiness. If hindi siya magiging maligaya, hindi siya magiging masaya sa bahay."
[I just pray. I don't want to stop him. That's his happiness. If he won't be happy, he won't be happy at home as well.]
She added, "I'm trying to understand but I don't think I can accept his mistress."
The couple shared that although they looked like the ideal couple, they're no strangers to fights and arguments.
"'Yung buhay mag-asawa maaaring maging perfect, hindi mawawala 'yung pagtatalo, pag-aaway," Zoren said. "Hindi mawawala ang bagyo. Dadaan ang isang marriage sa isang bagyo or dalawa or tatlo or apat...'Pag mayroong pagmamahalan kasi 'yung bagyo na 'yun is just a phase."
[Marriage life may be perfect but fights and arguments are unavoidable. Storms won't disappear. Marriages will go through a storm or two or three or four...If there's love, these storms will just be a phase.]
"Nandoon 'yung respeto and pagmahahalan. Yes, we fight but na iron 'yung mga bagay-bagay. We make sure we talk about it," Carmina said.
[The respect and love is there. Yes, we fight but we iron things out. We make sure we talk about it.]
Aside from love and trust, Carmina shared that understanding, prayers, and respect were their key ingredients of a lasting relationship.
Carmina and Zoren are set to star in "Stories From the Heart: The End of Us," their very first drama together. They both play the lead roles.
The series revolves around a married couple who gets torn apart after the husband cheats. However, they find themselves reigniting the relationship during the process of annulment.
