#PINNED: Easy and creative gift wrapping ideas when you are on a budget

#Pinned makes it easier for young Filipinos to discover meaningful and enriching content and stories that will help them separate music from the noise, wheat from the chaff, and flowers from the weeds.
All our stories are written by young creatives who made it their life mission to know everything there is to know about how fellow young adults can make the most out of their limited downtime every day, every week.
As the cool breeze slowly fills up our homes, it surely signals that the holiday season is coming in full swing! Christmas is right around the corner, and you’ve probably begun shopping for your friends and family for upcoming intimate gatherings.
Preparing a single gift can be costly, especially when you’re not mindful that you can cut your cost in half. We’ve tried and tested gift wrapping products and techniques that are not only easy on the wallet, but scream elegance and simplicity—who doesn’t love receiving brown paper packages tied up with string?
These are the four items you’ll need to wrap your gifts in the easiest and minimalist way:

1. Seal with double-sided tape instead of scotch tape
For a cleaner and sleek look, use double-sided tape instead of scotch tape. You don’t want sticky residue on the surface, and so does the receiver of that present! Plus, it wouldn’t go well with the aesthetic of the wrapping paper you’ll be using. This tape bundle can be of multi-use and is perfect to have for future craft projects.

2. Ditch the typical printed wrapper and use kraft paper
This sturdy and rustic piece of paper is suited for all occasions, making your present stand out from the rest! Gift-giving can be all-year-round, so you can make a bulk purchase (the cheaper option, really), then put it aside for storage until needed.

We used these five simple ways on how to wrap gifts with no box, since it allows you to cover almost anything without restrictions!
However, we still needed to learn how to wrap a gift with a box. So, to upgrade our status to pro-wrappers, we went for this Hallmark Giftology Series instructional video.
3. Out with the ribbon, in with the jute string
Worried about kraft paper being too plain and boring? This extra step will surely show how much thought you’ve put into wrapping that gift! Adding jute string instead of a blood-red or emerald-green ribbon is the cherry on top of the rustic look we’re going for.

Making a bow with dainty material might seem complicated at first glance, trust us we couldn’t get it either, but after a little help we learned how to make the perfect bow in no time!
4. Top it off by adding a pop of color with holiday tags
Of course, your presents must be heading somewhere! This is one of our favorite finds, because it’s a great value for your money. Spread the holiday cheer by sticking your favorite Christmas characters like Santa Claus, snowmen, and reindeer onto your gifts, while addressing it to your loved ones.

You don’t have to spend a large amount and put too much effort into gift wrapping, because we’ve always believed that the simpler, the better. We hope that this guide helped you discover budget-friendly ways to pack your presents this Christmas season.

Lucky for you, all of these products are under P190 and are now available at the Shopee 12.12 sale! Don’t forget to add these gift-wrapping essentials to your cart, and redeem additional discounts on top of free shipping vouchers upon checkout.
