'Squid Game' actor Park Hae Soo confirmed to play Berlin in Korean 'Money Heist' remake
It's official!
Netflix on Wednesday confirmed that "Squid Game" actor Park Hae Soo has been cast as Berlin in the Korean version of "Money Heist."
On Twitter, Netflix dropped a photo of Park Hae Soo holding the iconic "Money Heist" mask.

Prior to the popularity of "Squid Game," which was released in September, Park Hae Soo had already bagged the role.
In a video they released on YouTube on Wednesday, Hae Soo thanked Pedro Alonso for handing him the special mask of "Money Heist."
"In the Korean version we also have a special mask, when we show it, early next year I’ll give one to Pedro," he said.
Hae-soo also said that "it is an honor for me to participate in such a wonderful series."
“As an actor and as a fan of the series, I want to thank the cast and crew of ‘Money Heist’ for the great series they have created. We are looking forward to sharing the Korean version of Money Heist with you in 2022," he added.
Other stars who will star in the show include Kim Ji Hun as "Denver," Jang Yoon Ju as "Nairobi," Park Jung Woo as "Rio," Lee Won Jong as "Moscow," Kim Ji Hun as "Helsinki" and Lee Kyu Ho as "Oslo."
Series creator Alex Pina will executive produce, while Kim Hong-sun (“Voice,” “The Guest”) will direct off a screenplay written by Ryu Yong-jae (“My Holo Love”).
Before the launch of "Squid Game," “Money Heist” was Netflix’s most-watched non-English-language drama, seen by 180 million households globally, a report on Variety said.
The Korean adaptation of "Money Heist" will be premiering in 2022. The exact date is yet to be announced by Netflix.
Meanwhile, Netflix also announced that Berlin played by Pedro will have a spin-off series in 2023. —JCB, GMA News
