BTS performs ‘Dynamite’ at LA pedestrian crossing
Motorists in Los Angeles just got a wonderful morning surprise as BTS popped up on the intersection to perform one of their hit songs!
On Wednesday, Twitter buzzed with crowdsourced videos of the global sensations doing an improvised performance of their Billboard No. 1 song “Dynamite,” as well as their latest hits “Butter” and “Permission to Dance” along a crosswalk.
The viral videos showed BTS and their backup dancers rushing to the crosswalk and performing while a crew set up props as soon as the traffic light turned red, while unsuspecting yet amused drivers whipped up their phones even as they grappled with what’s happening.
After the quick performance, the impromptu stage was immediately dismantled and everyone ran back to the sidewalk just before the light turned green.
The group was later revealed to be filming a “Crosswalk Concert” segment for “The Late Late Show with James Corden.”
The talk show also shared a peek at the “Crosswalk Concert [BTS] filmed today that will air in an upcoming episode!”
On the same day, BTS guested on the show and performed “Permission to Dance.”
On Nov. 21, BTS performed for a live audience after almost two years at the American Music Awards, where they took home the favorite pop song, favorite pop duo/group, and artist of the year trophies.
This year, the group also earned their second consecutive Grammy Awards nomination for best pop/duo group performance for “Butter.”
BTS will be staging their 4-night “Permission to Dance On Stage” concert in LA at SoFi Stadium on Nov. 27-28 and Dec. 1-2. – RC, GMA News
