Netflix casts Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as Uncle Iroh in live-action 'Avatar: The Last Airbender'
Netflix has found its Uncle Iroh!
"The Mandalorian" and "Kim's Convenience Store" actor Paul Sun-Hyung Lee has been announced to play the wise and lovable mentor of Prince Zuko in the live-action adaptation of "Avatar: The Last Airbender."

In a tweet, Lee said he has "big shoes to fill."
"I hope to do honour and justice to this character while still making it my own. Grateful for this opportunity and excited to start," he said.
In the original "Avatar: The Last Airbender" animated series, Iroh is a retired Fire Nation general who spends much of the show guiding his nephew Prince Zuko, and joining in his journey to find the Avatar.
Netflix also announced that "Nightwatch" actor Lim Kay Siu will play the Air Nomad Gyatso, who is a father figure to Aang.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" actor Ken Leung meanwhile will play Commander Zhao, a Fire Nation military officer.

The three join the cast alongside Gordon Cormier (Aang), Kiawentiio (Katara), Ian Ousley (Sokka), Dallas Liu (Zuko), and Daniel Dae Kim (Fire Lord Ozai).
"Avatar: The Last Airbender" is a popular animated series that aired on Nickelodeon from 2005 to 2008. It follows Aang and his friends as they hone their skills and attempt to end the Hundred Year War in order to bring back peace among the four nations.
