Derek and Ellen's wedding: 5 cute details from their wedding to love
Derek and Ellen surprised everyone when got hitched on Thursday, 11.11.
And boy, did the two do it in style. Derek and Ellen didn't just exchanged I Do's — they celebrated their love in front of their family and friends in such style.
Below are adorable details from the wedding we're know are already populating pinterest boards.
1. Check out the aisle! In an Instagram Stories post, photographer Pat Dy led people's attention to the stones that made up the aisle.
Quickly, you'll see words inscribed into them. "Lyrics to a song impact to them," he wrote.
According to an Instagram post by wedding organizers La Belle Fete, the song is called "Freefall." It's by Kate Torralba and it's the couple's favorite.
2. Have you seen Derek's shoes?
Thanks to an Instagram post by photographer Nelwin Uy, we noticed a fine, fine detail to Derek's wedding day footwear: Engraved on heel of the left shoe was his name and on the right was Ellen's. On the tongue of the footwear was the date 11.11. The shoes were made by Godfather Shoes.
3. Ellen's whole ensemble. The Marc Rancy dress was equal parts sexy and elegant. And her hair, in a wispy half-pony was every bit Ellen: effortless beautiful. Her bouquet meanwhile speaks in its simplicity. And the way the bride carried the whole thing? We totally get why Derek cried. Ellen was a vision to behold!
4. Their post-kiss hug. In an interview with G3 San Pedro early in their relationship, Derek admitted how much he loved kissing — and how horrible his first kiss with Ellen was.
So naturalmente, our attention was glued to how the two will kiss. But good heavens, it was the long, heartfelt hug after that got to us. There was friendship there, and a sense of coming home, and a kind of love everybody hopes for.
5. The carpet of lights. The fireworks were astounding and the way the couple was framed in photos watching the light show was truly photogenic.
But you can tell how inspired the couple and their team was with lights that lit up the field in the dark. That absolutely looked like a movie set, if not a dream.
