'The Fairly OddParents' live action series to premiere in March 2022
Missing the magic of Wanda and Cosmo? There's just a few more months until the premiere of "The Fairly OddParents" live action series!
On Instagram, showrunner and executive producer Chris Nowak shared a photo of the cast and announced that the show will be coming next year.
"These people. I have never experienced a cast, crew, and writers room come together like this before. This season has been an absolute joy. We caught lightning in a bottle here," he wrote in the caption.
"Can't wait for you all to see it in March on Paramount Plus," he added.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the series is set years after the original ended. It will follow the life of Vivian Turner (Audrey Grace Marshall), Timmy's cousin, and her stepbrother Roy Ragland (Tyler Wladis).
As they go through life in Dimmsdale, they will be accompanied by fairy godparents Wanda and Cosmo, who will still be voiced by Susanne Blakeslee and Daran Norris.
Joining the cast are Laura Bell Bundy, Ryan-James Hatanaka, and Imogen Cohen, among others.
"The Fairly OddParents" ran from 2001 to 2017 on Nickelodeon. Created by Butch Hartman, it followed the life of Timmy, whose wishes were granted by his fairy godparents Wanda and Cosmo.
