Meme-famous Kabosu the dog is now 16 years old!

Kabosu, the Shiba Inu in the famous dog meme, is now 16 years old!

On Tuesday, a photo of Kabosu smiling brightly with his silver party hat on was shared on social media.  A happy birthday banner and “16” silver balloons served as her background.

“Today is Kabosu’s birthday,” the caption read with a birthday cake. “She is 16 years old.”

As of writing, the Facebook post has been showered with thousands of love from fans worldwide.

Kabosu took social media by storm years back when his photo looking playfully mischievous or wary of skepticism was used as a meme, now regarded as doge. His identity was revealed in 2014.
