7 things you need to know about the new Netflix Games

Starting tomorrow, there will be more to do in your Netflix app than just binge-watching shows.

The streaming giant just announced the Netflix Games, which will begin rollout in the mobile app on Thursday.

Films and games in one app? If the idea is too strange, here are more details about the fun new service.

1. All you need is a Netflix subscription

If you already have a Netflix subscription, you're good to go! According to Netflix, the Games won't require users to pay additional fees or complete in-app purchases.

There won't even be any ads!

2. Android first, iOS later

Netflix's mobile games will only be available on Android devices for now, with iOS estimated to be rolled out later this year.

A dedicated games row and games tab will appear in the Netflix app of their mobile phones or tablets.

3. Players around the world are welcome

The games will be available in many languages, so they will automatically default to the preference set in users' Netflix profile.

If your language is not yet available, games will default to English.

4. You can use the same account in multiple devices

Apparently, there's no need to worry about getting logged out of your game if someone opens the tab on another device.

Netflix Games allows members to play games on multiple devices on the same account.

5. Adults only

Netflix Games will not be available on kids' profiles.

According to Netflix, if you’ve set up a PIN to prevent kids from having access to adult profiles, that same PIN will be required in order to log in and play games.

6. No connection, no problem

If you're concerned about getting bored on a long wifi-less trip, don't worry.
Some games will be available to play offline should you have trouble getting connection.

7. There will be five games to start

Five games will be available in the first rollout of this service: Stranger Things: 1984 (BonusXP), Stranger Things 3: The Game (BonusXP), Shooting Hoops (Frosty Pop), Card Blast (Amuzo & Rogue Games), and Teeter Up (Frosty Pop).

And the best part? All kinds of players are welcome, from beginners to pros. —GMA News
