DAPAT ALAM MO!

Haunted impounding area? Ed Caluag talks to ‘spirit’ killed in car accident

Security guards watching over a car impounding lot in Tumana, Marikina have admitted to feeling a haunting presence while watching over unfortunate vehicles.

In an episode of "Dapat Alam Mo!" two guards referred to a car that was badly wrecked in a deadly road accident in Pasig last September 13, 2021.

Two people in the car were killed after colliding with a truck carrying heavy cargo.

"Mayroon silang nararamdaman, especially sa mga sasakyan na may involved in accident or may mga event na nangyari na may namatay, minsan sinasabi nila may nararamdaman sila, tumatahol 'yung mga aso," Redem Acoba of the MMDA said.

Security guard Marlon Sosmena says he felt a certain presence whenever he went by the car.

"'Pag dumaan ka doon sa isang sasakyan, lalo na may patay, parang bigla kang dadapuan ng takot. Kaba, takot, tapos pakiramdam mo parang mayroong nakatingin sa'yo," he said.

Meanwhile, Manuelito Buo recalled seeing a mysterious figure while keeping watch from the guard tower.

"Kinikilabutan ako, o kaya pagka-akyat ko sa tower, minsan 'di ko maiwasan 'yung mga madaling araw dungaw mo parang may nakikita ako na parangh may nakaupo na tao dito sa baba," he said.

With the MMDA's permission, "Dapat Alam Mo" brought in paranormal investigator Ed Caluag to try and communicate with the supposed spirit haunting the car.

The renowned psychic, who immediately felt strange after arriving at the scene, tried to communicate with the entity using a "ghost box."

"Ano po ang nangyari bago kayo naaksidente?" Ed asked.

After a few moments, a voice seemed to say "Walang brake.”

Ed asked again, and this time, the voice said: "Hindi na gumagana."

The box stopped working at one point, but Ed said he felt better after their short conversation.

"Nawala yung nakikipag usap pero medyo gumaan yung pakiramdam ko. Meaning parang na-enlighten," he said. "Sana tanggap na nila ‘yung nangyari sa kanila."

Nevertheless, Ed said talking can sometimes help a spirit find peace. He said personnel at the area can also say a prayer or light a candle.

"Kung alin man dito 'yung sasakyan ninyo na naging dahilan ng pagkamatay ninyo, sana tanggapin na ninyo na wala na kayo dito," he explained.

"Tapos pwede silang mag tulos lang ng isang kandila na parang saying a prayer na sana itong liwanag ng kandila na ito makatulong sa inyo na makita ninyo yung pupuntahan ninyo," he added. — Margaret Claire Layug/LA, GMA News
