Cassy Legaspi wows with dance cover of Blackpink Lisa’s ‘Lalisa’ and ‘Money’

Cassy Legaspi definitely set the stage on fire as she performed a fierce version of Blackpink member Lisa’s songs “Lalisa” and “Money.”

As seen in the nearly four-minute video on YouTube, the Kapuso actress took her fangirling efforts to the next level by amazing viewers with her powerful dance moves, astonishing outfits, and intense looks.

“Every fan has their own way of expressing their love for their idol, their role model. [Me, it’s this]—making a dance cover for Lisa so [I’m good] ’cause in a way, I’m supporting her music and career,” she told Aubrey Carampel on Tuesday’s “24 Oras.”

In fact, Cassy also produced and conceptualized the video with the help of her “First Yaya” co-star Thou Reyes and a production team.

“[I was thinking], ‘What’s the thing I can do to put [my] directing, producing, and dancing skills?’ [So here—a] dance cover,” she added.

While Lisa gave a nod to her culture by performing in a Thai outfit, Cassy highlighted her roots by wearing a gold modern Filipiniana.

“If this video reaches [the international scene], people get to see at least a hint of Filipino culture.”

As of writing, Cassy’s video has attracted 67,000 views and counting, and numerous positive feedback.

With this, the Blackpink fan, or the Blink, in her couldn’t help but feel grateful and rewarded.

“On Twitter, a lot are tweeting that an actress from the Philippines did a dance cover and they were commenting on the effort, the dance. They added that I gave justice to the song,” she said in Filipino.

“It was approved by the Blinks so I’m happy with that,” she added.

Cassy has definitely proven from day one that she is an ultimate Blink. Previously, she danced to the K-Pop girl group’s songs while on the treadmill.

She also said in the past that although she ain’t “magastos,” she can’t resist Blackpink merchandise.
