Shin Min Ah, Kim Woo Bin, Lee Byung Hun, more stars confirmed in new drama


Shin Min Ah, Kim Woo Bin, Lee Byung Hun, and more celebrities have been confirmed to star in an upcoming drama series titled "Our Blues."

According to a Soompi report on Thursday, Han Ji Min, Lee Jung Eun, Cha Seung Won, and Uhm Jung Hwa will also be joining the star-studded cast of the new series.

Written by "That Winter, The Wind Blows" and "It's Okay, That's Love" writer Noh Hee Kyung, "Our Blues" is an "omnibus-style drama" that revolves around the life stories of diverse characters on Jeju Island.

"Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha" star Shin Min Ah will play Min Sun Ah, a woman who arrives at Jeju island with her own secret to keep. "Mr. Sunshine" actor Lee Byung Hun will act alongside Min Ah and play Lee Dong Suk, a man raised in the countryside of Jeju Island and who sells trucks to earn money.

Meanwhile, Kim Woo Bin, known for his role on "Uncontrollably Fond," will play ship captain Park Jung Joon who will meet and fall in love with "One Spring Night" star Han Ji Min's character Lee Young Ok, a rookie female diver who harvests sea creatures.

"A Korean Odyssey" actor Cha Seung Won, on the other hand, will play Choi Han Soo, a man who returns to his hometown and after 30 years reunites with his first love, "Parasite" star Lee Jung Eun's character fish shop owner Jung Eun Hee.

Uhm Jung Hwa, who starred in the film "Okay! Madam," will play Go Mi Ran, Eun Hee's friend who returns to Jeju after getting sick of the city life.

"Our Blues" will be directed by Kim Kyu Tae, the mind behind "Scarlet Heart: Goryeo" and "That Winter, The Wind Blows." It is set to premiere next year. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
