Kelvin Miranda talks about the meaning behind his upcoming single ‘Slow Dance’
Kelvin Miranda has revealed the meaning behind his upcoming single with GMA Music titled "Slow Dance."
Despite it being a love song, Kelvin said it could be interpreted by listeners in many ways.
Kelvin said he thought the song was also about getting to know that special person in your life slowly before diving into a relationship.
"Dahan dahan lang tayo, mas kilalanin natin yung isa't isa para pagpasok natin sa relasyon na 'yun mas buo yung foundation ng pagmamahalan natin," he said.
Aside from love songs, Kelvin said he hoped to release music in other genres like jazz, pop, and indie pop.
He mentioned Boy Pablo, an indie pop music project of Chilean-Norwegian singer-songwriter Nicolas Muñoz, as one of his musical inspirations.
During the interview with GMA Network entertainment media, Kelvin said he was musically inclined because he grew up with cousins who played instruments.
Maliit pa ako, as in 'di pa ako marunong mag-strum ng gitara, kinakandong nila ko, 'oh strum ka, strum ka,'" he said.
According to Kelvin, he worked on the song with producer Paolo Agudelo.
Kelvin's single "Slow Dance" will be released on Oct. 22.
He is currently starring on GMA-7's "Stories From The Heart: Loving Miss Bridgette" with Beauty Gonzalez. – RC, GMA News
