Dave Bautista adopts chained, mistreated puppy, offers money to find abuser
Filipino-American star Dave Bautista has again saved another dog from pain and suffering.
The actor and former pro-wrestler recently took to Instagram to ask for help in looking for the abuser of a puppy then named Sage.
In the photos he shared, the puppy’s neck was seen full of wounds from the chain that was deeply embedded on its skin and fur. Some parts of its body also had rust from the metal.
“I will personally hand 5000 dollars cash to the person who gives information leading to the arrest and conviction of the sick piece of sh*t responsible for this,” Dave wrote on Instagram.
Few days later, the “Guardians of the Galaxy” actor shared an update, saying that the dog had already undergone surgery and would now go by a new name.
“Sage became Penny Bautista so I’d like to introduce to you the newest member of my family,” he said.
“She is now a Bautista and she will never be abused again, not a second in her life. She’s about to live her best puppy life,” he added. “She now has her forever home.”
According to Dave, they have yet to find the culprit but a total of $11,500 is waiting for anyone who can give information about them.
Penny is a three-month-old puppy found eating garbage by a good Samaritan, who immediately rescued the dog when she chanced upon it while driving home, according to We Love Animals.
The website added that Bautista now had three dogs, which were all rescued from abuse and neglect. – Franchesca Viernes/RC, GMA News
