‘Sex Education’ cast members think Season 3 has the ‘funniest episode ever’

Netflix’s “Sex Education” is back for another rule-breaking season, and things are crazier than ever at Moordale High.

Asa Butterfield, who plays Otis, and the other cast members have teased tons of hilarious moments from Season 3, but there is just something about episode 5 that makes it one of their “funniest” times on the set.

(Warning: Spoilers ahead!)

“One of our favorite scenes that we shot for season 3 was in episode 5 during the school trip (to France), and it involved some flying feces and a very angry French man,” Asa told GMA News Online in a roundtable before the premiere.

Asa also gave props to Jim Howick, who played their teacher Mr. Hendricks, for his unforgettable performance.

“It was possibly one of the funniest days I’ve ever had on any set, despite it being absolutely freezing,” Asa said.

Mimi Keene, who plays the school’s Queen Bee Ruby Matthews, agrees.

“Jim just has an ability to make something so funny that, [when] we were doing it, [we] just couldn’t stop laughing,” she said.

Episode 5 was also a must-see for Ncuti Gatwa and Aimee Lou Wood, who play Eric and Aimee.

“The whole field sequence and Jackson and Cal like freaking out on the bus...” Ncuti said in between laughs.

“I cannot wait for the fans to see that.”

Apart from Rahim’s smelly “accident” and Jackson’s trippy adventure on the bus, Episode 5 is also where Maeve (Emma Mackey) and Otis pick things up after a very important voicemail got deleted in Season 2.

For those who haven’t seen it, “Sex Education” is a hilarious series about Otis Milburn, an awkward high school teenager who has a sex therapist mum.
