Sandara Park announces solo debut

Sandara Park will be making her solo debut!

The former 2NE1 member shared the news in a 41-second video uploaded on her YouTube channel on Thursday.

"I have a matter to discuss today. It's about my hot solo debut (that is) to come," she said.

Sandara asked her fans to share their ideas for their fandom name in the comments section.

As of writing, "Dara solo is coming" is among the trending topics on local Twitter as fans excitedly made suggestions for their fandom name.

On September 1, Sandara officially joined the Abyss Company after leaving YG Entertainment.

Sandara was born in South Korea but moved to the Philippines, where she spent her teen years and rose to fame after winning runner-up in a talent search show.

After moving back to South Korea, she joined YG Entertainment in 2004. In 2009, she debuted as a member of famous girl group 2NE1 which eventually disbanded in 2016.
