Michael V. releases 'Another Christmas Eve' on Spotify, iTunes

Michael V. has released his holiday song "Another Christmas Eve" on Spotify and iTunes.

The Kapuso Comedy Genius first released the song last year along with a music video on YouTube.

According to Nelson Canlas' report on "24 Oras," Tuesday, Bitoy was inspired by Jose Mari Chan when he made the melody for "Another Christmas Eve."

"Actually malalim ang meaning niya and it speaks for everyone na dinaan 'tong pandemic tsaka 'yung mga naapektuhan nitong COVID-19, literally 'yung mga buhay nila na na-touch dahil sa mga nangyayari," he said.

["Actually it has a deep meaning and it speaks for everyone who experienced this pandemic and those who were affected by COVID-19, literally the people whose lives were touched by what was happening."]

Bitoy, who contracted COVID-19 himself last year, said he also dedicates the song to frontliners who are risking their lives while caring for the sick.

He said he wanted to use music as a way to reflect on everything going on in our lives amid the pandemic.

"It's best to cap it off by thinking and feeling na masuwerte pa rin tayo lalo itong mga nakakarinig ng kantang 'to kasi buhay tayo," he said. "Sana ma-appreciate natin na kahit anong pinagdaanan natin binigyan pa rin tayo ng Panginoon ng tsansang mabuhay at mag-celebrate ng Pasko."
