BTS enters Guinness World Records 2022 Hall of Fame with 23 titles
BTS is undoubtedly going down in history books, and no less than the Guinness World Records set it in stone.
The global authority on record-breaking achievements just announced that the South Korean global superstars are now among its Hall of Famers.
"We are delighted to welcome BTS to our Guinness World Records Hall of Fame," the Guinness World Records said in its website on Thursday.
According to the article, BTS has collected a total of 23 Guinness World Records titles across music and social media so far.
Among their recent records include:
- Most viewed YouTube video in 24 hours by a K-pop group, fastest time to reach one million followers on TikTok (current count is 669.3M followers)
- Most tickets sold for a livestreamed concert (756,000)
- Most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours ("Butter")
BTS, composed of RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, debuted in 2013 as an idol group in South Korea.
Currently, they are the most streamed group on Spotify and the most followed music group on Instagram.
Their Twitter account also has the most engagements for a music group.
In 2020, they became the first K-pop act to get a Grammy nomination for their hit song "Dynamite." —JCB, GMA News
