'Spider-Man: No Way Home' teaser reveals reunion with fellow Avenger, return of iconic villain
Marvel Studios has finally dropped the highly-anticipated teaser trailer for “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” and it’s full of surprises.
The three-minute video gave fans a glimpse of how Peter Parker (Tom Holland) will face the aftermath of Mysterio revealing his identity to the entire world.
The teaser reveals that the teenage web-slinger will tap fellow Avenger Stephen Strange a.k.a. Dr. Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) for help.
Spider-Man then ends up entering a “multiverse,” and comes face-to-face with Doctor Octopus.
This confirms the return of Alfred Molina, who played the same iconic villain in the 2004 film “Spider-Man 2” starring Tobey Maguire.
Warning: Spoilers for 'Spider-Man: Far From Home' ahead
In the previous film “Spider-Man: Far From Home,” Peter defeated Quentin Beck a.k.a. Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) and finally got to admit his feelings for MJ (Zendaya).
However, Beck exposed Peter’s identity to the world by sending some modified footage to the Daily Bugle.
“Spider-Man: No Way Home” is scheduled to premiere exclusively in theaters on December 17. —Margaret Claire Layug/JCB, GMA News
