Maureen Wroblewitz to star in romantic film shot in New Zealand with Kit Thompson
Miss Universe Philippines 2021 delegate Maureen Wroblewitz is set to star in a romantic film with Kit Thompson titled "Runaway."
According to a press release, the film was shot in New Zealand and is the latest original movie on Upstream set to be showcased in the Philippines and worldwide on September 3.
The film follows the story of a bright young girl named Hannah (Maureen) who will be escaping her sheltered life in Manila for an adventure in New Zealand where she meets Ben (Kit) who desires to go back home to the Philippines.
The press release said the film will put a spotlight on this generation's longingness for "living their best life, even in borrowed time."
"Runaway" is produced by Reality MM Studios, written and directed by Katski Flores and executive produced by Ronald "Dondon" Monteverde in partnership with the New Zealand Embassy Manila.
Other stars who will be in the film are veteran actor Audie Gemora and Filipino-Arabian supermodel MJ Lastimosa with Lana Garland.
