Netflix drops official trailer for 'Lucifer' final season
Are we ready for the devil to sit on the heavenly throne?
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, Netflix finally dropped the much-anticipated trailer for the final season of "Lucifer," teasing more episodes of turmoil, conflict, and Lucifer Morningstar's iconic humor.
Picking up right after the last season's cliff-hanging ending, Lucifer grapples to take the seat of God after winning the battle against his twin, Michael, in the season 6 trailer. With the world without a God, "the laws of nature are breaking down" and bizarre things start occuring on Earth.
We also get a glimpse of Lucifer's new enemy who he finds sitting on his throne in Hell.
The trailer, which teased another musical episode and an entertaining episode where characters turn into animated cartoons, also gives a glimpse of Chloe's devotion to helping out Lucifer. However, by the end of the trailer, she jumps to stab Lucifer in the heart, to which he says, "Well, I certainly did not see this coming.
"Lucifer," which features Tom Ellis as the Devil, started its series with Lucifer abandoning his throne in Hell to have a good time in Los Angeles but finds himself taking down criminals with a local detective he falls in love with.
The final season of the hit series is set to premiere on September 10. —Kaela Malig/JCB, GMA News
