Cassy Legaspi is not magastos, but she can't resist this K-pop group and their merch

Cassy Legaspi may be a rising star who has appeared on hit teleseryes and several TV commercials, but she's also quite a fangirl just like us.

The Kapuso actress just opened up about her love for K-Pop and how their music and culture have both entertained and inspired her throughout the years.

However, Cassy admitted there was one particular girl group she would go to great lengths for.

"Me, as a fan of anything, I don't really buy merch or hindi ako active... I just take interest in the artist, but ang lakas talaga ni Blackpink sa akin eh! 'Di ko kinaya," she told GMA News Online in a Zoom interview.

Like many K-pop stans, Cassy tries hard to save up but there was just something about Blackpink that makes her want to keep them close to her heart through merch and other memorabilia.

"So, every time they would come out with merch or, you know, 'yung mga albums nila and all, I would always buy it kahit wala akong pera," the actress shared.

"[I'd be] like, 'Oh my gosh, I'm saving up for something. Ay, next time na lang. Kay Blackpink naman ito'," she added.

"'Every time something comes out, I'll say 'Aww, I'll save up for it first,' but I end up buying it! I don't know why."

A lot of people can definitely relate to Cassy, because Blackpink has risen up to be one of the hottest K-pop acts in the world.

She may be a proud Blink, but the actress said she also fell in love with several K-pop groups like TWICE, ITZY, GOT7, and BTS.

Cassy said she would spend "hours and hours" watching K-pop music videos on YouTube, and it has become a precious bonding activity she shares with her family. — LA, GMA News
