'Jujutsu Kaisen' manga to resume on August 2 after month-long hiatus

"Jujutsu Kaisen" is returning with a fresh new chapter this August 2.

The Weekly Shonen Jump official Twitter account on Friday announced that Gege Akutami's popular manga will resume in this year's 35th issue.

The manga went on hiatus last June 21 due to Akutami's poor health.

"Jujutsu Kaisen" follows Itadori Yuuji who was recruited to study to become a Jujutsu sorcerer after his exposure to curses.

He goes on a journey to hunt down the pieces of the curse he'd consumed so it can die with him.

It was adapted into an anime, which premiered last October. The first season is currently streaming on Netflix. —JCB, GMA News
