Blackpink’s Lisa to make solo debut ‘this summer’

The wait is almost over!

Blackpink member Lisa will soon make her much awaited solo debut.

YG Entertainment confirmed the news, according to a Soompi report on Tuesday. “Lisa will film the music video for her new song this week,” said its statement.

“She will be making her solo debut this summer,” the agency added.

Prior to Lisa’s solo debut, Blackpink members Jennie and Rosé released their solo tracks while Jisoo worked on a drama series.

Jennie, the first member to release her own music, debuted “Solo” in 2018, while Rosé released her first solo album “R” last March.

The record-breaking South Korean girl group is also set to release their movie “4+1” in August in celebration of their fifth anniversary. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
