Binibining Pilipinas candidates show their wit, intelligence in Q&A training
The 34 Binibining Pilipinas 2021 candidates showed their wit and intelligence in the question and answer training held on Wednesday.
During the training with mentor Boy Abunda, the ladies were tasked to describe photos which are taken during the pandemic, relate it to themselves, and share a message of hope.
They were all given 30 seconds each to speak their minds. Among the topics discussed were the environment, getting the COVID-19 vaccine, hunger, and transportation in the country.
Tito Boy, meanwhile, took the time to comment on each Binibini's performance with tips on speaking with confidence, handling emotions and keeping answers short, among others.
"Speak in the language of convenience," he said. "Confidence is not about being right in Q&A. It's the absence of doubt so when you speak, speak with confidence."
In June, the Binibining Pilipinas candidates dazzled in their swimsuits and national costumes. The Top 10 National Costumes at the pageant were revealed weeks later.
The Binibining Pilipinas coronation event is on July 11 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum and will be live streamed on the Binibining Pilipinas YouTube channel.
Four queens will be crowned: Binibining Pilipinas International, Binibining Pilipinas Grand International, Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental, and Binibining Pilipinas Globe.
It will be hosted by the first all-female tandem Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and Miss Grand International 2016 1st runner-up Nicole Cordoves.
