Sequel to Netflix’s ‘The Old Guard’ in the works

The sequel to Netflix’s hit film “The Old Guard” is finally in the works!

According to a Variety report on Tuesday, Charlize Theron confirmed that the script to the sequel had been completed and the crew would start filming in the first quarter of 2022.

The actress, who played immortal warrior Andy, also shared that her co-stars Marwan Kenzari and Luca Marinelli would reprise their roles as the loyal gay soldiers devoted to each other.

“Oh yeah! They’re definitely there,” she said.

“The Old Guard,” which premiered on Netflix in July 2020, was based on the comic book of the same name. The story revolves around Andy, a centuries-old warrior who leads a group of immortals in the contemporary world.
