English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran wrote the song, along with Steve Mac, Johnny McDaid, and Jenna Andrews. It was produced by Mac, Andrews, and Stephen Kirk.
It will be released on July 9.
The news doesn't come as a surprise to fans, since Sheeran had earlier revealed in a live video that his favorite BTS song was "Permission to Dance."
Both Sheeran and Big Hit also previously confirmed the collaboration.
The "Butter" CD will include four songs: their latest hit "Butter," "Permission to Dance," and the instrumental versions of both songs.
"Butter," BTS's second full English single, has been dominating the charts since its release last May 21.
The song has so far topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart for five weeks straight, and even made Spotify history by becoming the biggest single debut of all time. —JCB, GMA News
