Olivia Rodrigo performs songs from debut album on concert film ‘Sour Prom’
Olivia Rodrigo killed it during her concert film “Sour Prom” which was livestreamed Wednesday morning (Philippine time).
The nearly 30-minute video, which featured songs from her debut album “Sour,” started with the Filipino-American singer being picked up from her home.
On the way to the prom, she performed a short mash-up of “Happier” and “Deja Vu.”
Shortly after arriving at the party, Olivia went on to sing more of her songs such as “Brutal,” “Traitor,” “Jealousy, Jealousy,” and “Enough For You.”
Of course, she wouldn’t dare miss her debut single “Drivers License,” which she sang full of emotions while she played the piano.
The concert film ended with an enjoyable performance of “Good 4 U.”
As of writing, the video has garnered over one million views. The hashtag #SOURprom is also the top trending topic on local Twitter with 139,000 tweets.
When the announcement was made last week, Olivia said she wanted to give her fans a “little prom party” because she herself “never got to go to prom.”
Olivia dropped “Sour” last month. It was named the biggest album debut of 2021 so far and dominated Rolling Stone’s Top 200 album and Top 100 songs charts.
“Drivers License,” meanwhile, was the first song to hit a billion streams this year. – Franchesca Viernes/RC, GMA News
