'Kingdom: Ashin of the North' trailer teases origins of resurrection plant

Netflix just unveiled a new trailer for "Kingdom: Ashin of the North," and it goes all the way back to when Ashin first attempts to find the so-called resurrection plant that later ends up triggering the avalanche of tragic events that swept through Joseon.

In the trailer, Ashin's father warns her against her plans to find the plant that can supposedly bring dead people back to life, but she refuses to listen due to her mother’s serious illness.

As she scours the forest, she hears the screams of many people.

"Kingdom: Ashin of the North" is special episode of the South Korean horror thriller "Kingdom." It details the backstory of Ashin, played by Jun Ji-hyun, who first appeared at the end of the show's second season.
