Coldplay releases new ‘Higher Power’ MV; singer Chris Martin comments on BTS collab rumors
Coldplay dropped today the official music video of their latest single, “Higher Power.”
According to PopCrush, the single will be part of the British band’s upcoming ninth album, which is yet to be announced.
The publication had an interview with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, who shared his thoughts about their latest single and answered some questions, including about a rumored collaboration with South Korean pop giants BTS.
Since BTS performed a cover of Coldplay’s song “Fix You” in February, rumors are rife that the two musical superstars are bound for a collaboration.
In the interview, Chris said they did not rule out the possibility of collaborating with BTS sometime in the future.
“When it comes to BTS, I just have nothing but love and respect for them,” said Chris.
“All seven guys, I think they’re just cool, stand for good things and sing about cool things. I love the fact that they are so huge and sing a lot in Korean, they don’t always have to sing in English. I love them a lot and so if the right song came along, I wouldn’t ever say no.”

Last month, Chris gave a quick update on Twitter, mentioning BTS’s new song “Butter” among the “films, songs, and books” that he had “found helpful and wonderful.”
Released in May, “Higher Power” is now out on YouTube and other streaming platforms. – RC, GMA News
