Kris Aquino pens sweet birthday message for Josh: 'In many ways, he helped me grow up'
Kris Aquino wrote a sweet message for Josh as he celebrated his 26th birthday.
In an Instagram post on Thursday, the television host and actress shared a video of her son celebrating his birthday by giving out relief goods to other people during an outreach program.
Kris looked back to when Josh was born and she shared that she was "not ready to be a mama."
"In many ways Kuya Josh helped me grow up. He was just 3 years old when it became just the 2 of us," Kris said.
She said that she never hid from the public the fact that Josh was in the autism spectrum, and because of this, he was "oftentimes [bullied]."
However, she said that there more people who defended him.
"'Di hamak mas marami ang nagtanggol at nakaramdam ng pureness ng puso niya at ng kanyang genuine na generosity at ang hindi niya pagpili sa kakaibiganin at bibigyan ng respeto [More people defended and saw the pureness of his heart and his genuine generosity, and how he doesn't choose who he'll make friends with and give respect to]," Kris said.
She added, "For Kuya, kung mabait ka at nagpakita ng kabutihan higit dun ang lambing at pagmamahal na isusukli niya [For Kuya, if you are kind and show goodness, he'll return it tenfold with love and sweetness.]."
Kris also said that although life isn't perfect, it does have wonderful moments, especially since she was able to get back to work.
Addressing her fans, she said, "I’d like to consider that my true career started because you accepted me with all my flaws and strengths 4 months after I gave birth to my panganay."
"Lahat ng meron kaming mag nanay, nanggaling sa trabaho ko na sinuportahan ninyo. Habang kakayanin, patuloy namin ibabalik sa inyo yung blessings that you gave the 3 Aquinos [All that we have came from the job you supported. While we still can, we will continue to give back the blessing you gave the 3 Aquinos.]," she added. "Happy birthday, Kuya Josh, we love you...Buti pa ang Tarlac at si Kuya- may FOREVER! [At least Tarlac and Kuya have forever together!]"
