SpongeBob Squarepants spin-off series 'The Patrick Star Show' releases teaser

In case you missed it, Patrick Star is getting his own show.

Nickelodeon just released a sneak peek of the upcoming SpongeBob Squarepants spin-off series titled “The Patrick Star Show.”

The 30-second teaser shows the endearing starfish declaring that he has found his "true purpose" — hosting his own variety show in his TV-turned-bedroom.

“The Patrick Star Show” is set to have 13-episodes.

As we all know from the original series, Patrick is an overweight, coral-pink starfish who lives under a rock and loyally accompanies his best friend SpongeBob on his many adventures.

Bill Fagerbakke will be returning to voice the his iconic role, along with several veteran voices of the original series, including SpongeBob (Tom Kenny), Squidward (Rodger Bumpass), Sandy (Carolyn Lawrence), Mr. Krabs (Clancy Brown) and more.

According to Variety, “The Patrick Star Show” will debut this July on Nickelodeon. —Margaret Claire Layug/JCB, GMA News
