Netflix finally unveils 'Trese' trailer and it's full of Philippine mythological creatures

The Philippines' mythological creatures have come to life in the official trailer for "Trese"!

Netflix finally gave a glorious first look at the upcoming series, which is the country's first Netflix original anime show.

Set in Manila where the mythical creatures of Philippine folklore live in hiding amongst humans, "Trese" follows Alexandra Trese as she goes head to head with a criminal underworld comprised of malevolent supernatural beings.

The trailer is even in full Tagalog, and we could hear actress Liza Soberano voicing the lead character.

The Filipino voice cast include Simon dela Cruz, Apollo Abraham, Christopher Carlo Caling, and many more.

Pinoy band UDD, formerly known as Up Dharma Down, meanwhile composed the official soundtrack, titled “PAAGI,” with lyrics by Armi Millare and Paul Yap.
