'Rurouni Kenshin: The Final' is coming to Netflix on June 18


"Rurouni Kenshin: The Final" is coming to Netflix very soon!

A promotional video released by the streaming giant on Thursday announced that the film will premiere on the platform on June 18.

"Rurouni Kenshin: The Final" is the fourth film in the live action adaptation of beloved anime "Rurouni Kenshin."

The story introduces a villain named Enishi Yukishiro and touches upon the origin of Kenshin's cross-shaped scar.

The fifth and final installment, "Rurouni Kenshin: The Beginning," will show Kenshin's wife Tomoe and complete the revelations.

"The Final" was first released on April 23, while "The Beginning" will be released in Japan on June 4.

The "Rurouni Kenshin" film series is based on the manga by Nobuhiro Watsuki called "Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story," also known as "Samurai X."

It stars Takeru Sato as Kenshin Himura, Emi Takei as Kaoru Kamiya, Munetaka Aoki as Sagara Sanosuke, Yosuke Eguchi as Hajime Saito, and Aoi Yuu as Megumi Takani.

The first film, "Rurouni Kenshin," was released in 2012. Its sequels "Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno" and "Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends" were released back-to-back two years later.
