Here’s a first look at the Targaryens in ‘House of the Dragon’

“Game of Thrones” fans have finally been given a glimpse inside HBO’s highly-anticipated follow-up series “House of the Dragon.”
Fresh production stills shared by Warner Media give a first look at Emma Darcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, the king’s first-born child who is a fierce dragon rider.
We also see “Doctor Who” star Matt Smith as Prince Daemon Targaryen, a warrior and dragon rider who is the younger brother to King Viserys and heir to the throne.
Rhys Ifans is playing Ser Otto Hightower, the “Hand of the King” who loyally and faithfully serves both his king and his realm.
As Otto sees it, the greatest threat to the realm is none other than the king’s brother, Daemon, and his position as heir to the throne.
Olivia Cooke, on the other hand, is playing Otto’s daughter, Alicent Hightower, who “possesses both a courtly grace and a keen political acumen.”
Steve Toussaint, meanwhile, is breathing life to Lord Corlys Velaryon a.k.a. “The Sea Snake,” a famed nautical adventurer who is Lord of House Velaryon, a Valyrian bloodline as old as House Targaryen.
Based on George R.R. Martin's book "Fire & Blood," "The House of Dragon" narrates the story of the regal House Targaryen that takes place 300 years before the events that transpired in "Game of Thrones.
Martin is also a co-creator and executive producer on the show. — LA, GMA News
