Saab Magalona reveals why she started vlogging
Saab Magalona finally opened her YouTube channel up for vlogs after "avoiding it for so long."
In the second episode of her weekly vlog series "Magulo na Bacarros," Saab shared why she did not commit to vlogging before.
"There have been a lot of reasons. I think it's intimidating, that's not my platform, it seems like it's a lot of hard work," she said.
"You see people carrying all these equipment and I just can't. I don't even bring a bag with me when I go out. I like having my hands free," she added.
Now with two kids, Saab said what changed her mind is the desire to have an easy access to their memories.
"[Jim and I] don't want our memories to just die on our hard drives. We want these memories to be preserved in videos that are easy to consume," she said.
"I wanna revisit these videos and then see what I can make from it, what stories I can tell. I just wanna share them with my future self," she added.
Saab also said that she wants her vlogs to serve as a step closer to families, friends, and supporters whom they can't meet because of the pandemic.
"These are like scrapbooks and post cards to our loved ones," she said.
"Though it is very hard for someone like me who has struggled with ADHD, I'd fight through it because I wanna make this happen," she added.
According to Saab, she has invested in "some equipment" but her videos will still mostly be composed of videos from their phones.
"It's really about the content and you can't have it any better than Vito and Pancho," she said.
Saab also shared super adorable videos of her kids eating, playing, and playing instruments.
The first episode of "Magulo na Bacarros" premiered last week.
