Kara David says immortality is her favorite theme in 'Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood'

Kara David is a fan of "Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood!"

The veteran journalist recently shared on Twitter that she's been binge-watching the 2009 hit anime series.

She also posted a photo showing main characters Edward and Alphonse Elric, along with Ed's love interest Winry.

"Hay I won't be able to do any work because of you," she wrote in Filipino, adding a laughing emoji.

Shortly after its posting, anime fans commented on the tweet and welcomed Kara among their ranks as a fellow otaku.

One fan asked what about favorite social issue in the series. The "i-Witness" host answered immortality.

"We all want long lives but if it means harming other people, would you still want it?" she said.

Ang pinakagusto kong tema ay yung tungkol sa immortality. Lahat tayo gusto ng mahabang buhay pero kung ang ibig sabihin nito ay ikapapahamak ng iba... gugustuhin mo pa rin ba? Mahusay ang portrayal ng 7 deadly sins. Napag-iisip ako. Pati mga values ko sa buhay.

Kara also said that she liked how the seven deadly sins were portrayed because it makes her think about her values in life.

As of writing, the post has over 50 replies from Kara's followers, who also recommended other anime titles such as "Attack on Titan" and "Haikyu!!"

"Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood" follows the story of two brothers in search for the Philosopher’s Stone after an attempt to revive their deceased mother left them changed forever.
