'Free!' announces 'The Final Stroke' movie with teaser video

Swimming anime "Free!" will have a two-part movie in celebration of its eighth anniversary!

A teaser video was released on Monday, revealing that the film is titled "The Final Stroke."

"Free!" also dropped a poster featuring main character Haruka Nanase, who looked fierce and ready to compete in the pool.

According to the series' official website, the first part will be released on September 17 while the second will drop in theaters in April 2022.

"Free!" was first released in 2013 and the second season followed one year later. A third season aired in 2018.

The story follows Haruka, a talented swimmer who develops a rivalry with his childhood friend Rin and competes in high school tournaments together with his team.
