BTS isn’t done breaking records!
According to a Soompi report, BTS’ “Dynamite” has become the fastest Korean group music video to reach one billion views on YouTube.
The music video, which was released Aug. 21, 2020, hit the one-billion mark on Monday afternoon.
This means it took the band only seven months and 22 days to accomplish the feat.
As of writing, “Dynamite” has over 1,005,079,433 views.
“Dynamite” is BTS’s third music video to reach one billion views after “DNA” and “Boy With Luv.”
Recently, “Dynamite” also broke the record for most weeks spent at the top spot of Billboard’s Digital Song Sales Chart, having stayed at No. 1 for 18 straight weeks.
Guinness World Records also confirmed in March that BTS had officially claimed the record for the “most simultaneous viewers for a music video on YouTube Premieres” with “Dynamite.”
On April 17, BTS will hold their second “Bang Bang Con” event, a free YouTube livestream that will feature three of their previous concerts. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
