Baekhyun's "Bambi" release will be his last before he enlists for the military, according to a Soompi report on Saturday.
During one of his Instagram live sessions, the K-pop artist said, "The end of March is the final date at which I could push back my military enlistment...I didn’t want to cause a stir with this news ahead of time, so I focused on working hard for the new solo album and incorporating my opinion from the planning process to the music video shoot so that I could show people what I wanted to show.”
“Even if I’m not here, we’ve filmed a lot of content in advance that will be released on YouTube and other places...It’s not like we’re being separated forever. I wanted it to be like, ‘I’ll be right back.'" he added.
Baekhyun, who debuted as an EXO member in 2012, will be following fellow EXO member Chanyeol who enlisted on March 29. Baekyun will be the sixth EXO member to enlist in the military after Chanyeol, D.O., Xiumin, Suho, and Chen.
As of Wednesday morning, "Bambi" already has more than 5.3 million views. —Kaela Malig/JCB, GMA News
