"Attack on Titan" (Shingeki no Kyojin) is barreling to a close after 11 years.
Creator Hajime Isayama finished writing the final chapter on Eren Yeager's birthday on March 30, as revealed by the manga's editor on Twitter.
"I received the final manuscript of 'Attack on Titan' on Eren's birthday," they said. "Everyone, look forward to the May issue of another magazine."

"Isayama-kun, thank you for your hard work for 11 years and 7 months!" they added.
In a follow up tweet, the editor said that they have "submitted it."
Fans of the epic story were moved to thank Isayama on Twitter, causing the hashtag #ThankYouIsayama to trend.

"Attack on Titan" is set to end with Chapter 139, which was reported to be released on April 9.
The story follows Eren Yeager, who digs deep to find the truth about the Titans in an effort to retake the world from them.
