Best-selling novel ‘A Court of Thorns and Roses’ to be adapted for TV
Fans of this adult fantasy book series are in for a treat!
On Saturday, author Sarah J. Maas announced that her bestselling novel “A Court of Thorns and Roses” was being developed for a television adaptation.
“Ron Moore (creator of Outlander and one of my creative idols) and I will co-adapt ACOTAR as a TV show for Hulu!” the novelist shared on Instagram.
“I’m currently hard at work writing the pilot with Ron (!!!!!), and while there is so much more news to share with you guys about bringing this series to life, it just feels so great to finally be able to talk about this!”
The series follows 19-year-old huntress Feyre who, after killing a faerie wolf in the woods, is dragged by an immortal creature named Tamlin into the magic land of Prythian.
As Feyre spends more time with Tamlin, a faerie, she finds herself falling for him and discovers truths about herself and the world she’s plunged into.
The first installment of the novel series, “A Court of Thorns and Roses,” was published in 2015, followed by “A Court of Mist and Fury” in 2016, “A Court of Wings and Ruin” in 2017, “A Court of Frost and Starlight” in 2018, and “A Court of Silver Flames” in February 2021.
Aside from “A Court of Thorns and Roses,” Sarah also wrote the bestselling young adult series “Throne of Glass.”
