This vicar in England delivered Church service with shades and hat Zoom filters

A vicar in Warwick, England fell victim to Zoom filters while leading an online church service.

Rev. Vaughan Roberts appeared on video with shades and hat filters inadvertently turned on.

According to him, he had no idea that was the case because it was his wife Mandy who was taking the video.

After doing the welcome, Mandy approached him looking "horrified" and told him to continue the service sitting down instead, as standing activates the filter.

"She said, 'I don't know what I've done but there's a hat and glasses on your face and I don't know how to turn it off,'" he said.

"I had to take evasive action. I decided not to come forward again and do the rest of the service from the bench," he added.

The reverend became an instant online sensation due to the gaffe, which helped in gaining views for the church service.

According to some, he ended up looking like Joliet Jake Blues from the film "The Blues Brothers."

This isn't the first time that the Zoom filters got accidentally activated in a professional setting.

In February, a hearing was shortly suspended because United States Congressman Tom Emmer showed up onscreen with his head upside down.

The Congress waited for it to get fixed before continuing with the session.

In the same month, a lawyer also showed up for a Zoom hearing with a kitten filter—Franchesca Viernes/MGP, GMA News
