Dragon Knight, Mirana and other heroes coming to life in 'DOTA: Dragon's Blood' anime

"Dota: Dragon's Blood," an anime series based on the popular video game franchise by Valve, will finally premiere on Netflix this March 25.

The story centers on Davion, a famous Dragon Knight who encounters a powerful, ancient Eldwurm and accompanies a princess named Mirana on a perilous mission.

As Dota 2 fans would know, Davion and Princess Mirana are some of the heroes you can play in the battle arena.

Players will actually be seeing several familiar faces in the series, together with a cast of new characters, dragons, and one very powerful deity.

The 8-episode animated series written by showrunner / executive producer Ashley Edward Miller (X-Men: First Class, Thor and Black Sails) was created by Studio MIR in collaboration with Dota 2 developer Valve.
