'The Hungry Syrian' vlogger Basel Manadil's restaurant YOLO Retro Diner gets robbed
The restaurant of Basel Manadil, more popularly known as The Hungry Syrian vlogger, on Naga Road in Las PIñas City got robbed on Sunday.
Basel shared details about the incident on his vlog, where he showed the CCTV footage from inside the restaurant, YOLO Retro Diner.
It showed a man with a covered face breaking in the restaurant.
After walking around the diner and twisting the CCTVs, the man opened their cash drawer and took all the cash and their restaurant's mobile phone.
Basel said the man had tattoos on his arms.
The vlogger expressed his frustration over the matter saying he got really sad.
He visited the restaurant to check the situation and found the window into which the man broke.
"I’m really sad kasi this is my first branch. I never experienced something like that happen," he said.
"He looks like someone who can work, who can make a living, no need for stealing, or doing bad things like that," the vlogger said.
Basel asked help from the police station to investigate the matter, saying he wanted the robber caught is "so it doesn’t happen to someone else. What he does is not good," he said in the video.
Basel is willing to give a cash reward to whoever knows the suspect in Las Piñas City.
"If you have any information please visit our shop YOLO/Naga Branch," he wrote in the video.
In the description of the video posted on YouTube March 12, Basel said the incident happened at around 2:24 a.m.
"This guy only represents himself and no-one else. In every nation & every country there's the good and the bad. KARMA is so real & God is watching," he wrote.
"I pray for everybody's safety and well being and hope that no harm will reach anyone. What matters the most to me is that no employee/staff was hurt during the robbery. Money comes and goes but life matters the most," he added.
