Blackpink member Rosé’s solo album, ‘On the Ground’ music video are out now!

After much anticipation, Blackpink member Rosé’s first solo album “R” and the music video for her single “On the Ground” are finally here!

Released Friday afternoon, the jaw-dropping music video for “On The Ground” showcased Rosé’s talent amid a glamorous and literally explosive backdrop.

In the video, the singer could be seen visiting smiling at her past self.

“The song is about looking for answers in life, for purpose in life and I feel like people these days can relate to it,” she said during her music video’s release party on YouTube.

“Sometimes when you’re always on that roll, you kind of forget what actually matters to you most.”

The song, she added, shared that “everything we need is already within us. No need to go out.”

Rosé also explained that the music video showed the “kind of dramas” she had “going back to her core self.”

“It was so cinematic and just everything I would dream my first solo music video would be,” she said.

Also released today, Rosé’s solo album “R” features “On the Ground” and “Gone,” which she debuted during Blackpink’s online concert “The Show” on Jan. 31.

According to the K-Pop idol, the solo project will let fans “get to know the Blackpink Rosé they saw. It’s just an extended version of what you’ve seen in the past.”

Prior to the release of the music video, Blackpink unveiled a teaser, which has over 15 million views as of writing.

Rosé is the second member of Blackpink to have her own music after Jennie released “Solo” in 2018. – RC, GMA News
