‘I Love You 3000’ singer Stephanie Poetri says she would love to work with Ben&Ben someday

Like many of us during the days of quarantine, Stephanie Poetri stumbled upon a Ben&Ben song and vibed to it.

The 20-year-old Indonesian-American artist, who has been topping global charts with self-written love songs like “I Love You 3000,” recently shared how much she adored the Filipino folk-pop sensation.

“I don’t know a lot [Filipino music], but I do know Ben&Ben because I have a lot of friends who told me about them,” Stephanie said in a virtual interview with GMA News Online.

The rising global pop star has apparently listened to several Ben&Ben songs and thought they were “amazing,” but if she had to pick a favorite, it would be “Leaves.”

“Because it’s very sad, and I’m a sad woman,” she said.

Personally, Stephanie would describe her music as “pretty much like a song that I think a lot of people can just really chill out and listen to and try to choose which song fits with what they’re doing throughout the day.”

She gained international attention when her breakthrough hit “I Love You 3000,” which was inspired by the iconic line from “Avenger’s Endgame,” topped global charts in 2019.

The 20-year-old singer is about to release her highly anticipated debut EP called “AM:PM” under 88Rising this month.

Much like Ben&Ben, Stephanie has been praised for continuing to make feel-good and relatable acoustic music despite the pandemic, so we asked if she would be open to working with them in the future.

“Yeah, I think they sound great!” Stephanie said.

“And definitely, like, the acoustics? I really like guitar, and their songs are amazing. So, for sure!” she added.
